Casual meetup at the Ridgewood Dog Run!

Hi Everyone,

Encore! Once again, the Pugs and their Humans will be "infiltrating" Ridgewood, for a casual gathering at the Dog Park!

The Ridgewood Dog Run can be found at the Saddle River County Park Wild Duck Pond (you can find us in the small dog run). Please come and join us for some Puggie shenanigans and don't forget to bring doggie water and doo bags!

Note the dog run is now located around the pond and near the exit of the park (bordering Ridgewood Ave.). There is *some* available parking in a lot right before the run, so I might suggest you park there and then walk over (you can also park across the street, which could prove to be easier.) They haven't gotten around to install any seating in the dog run yet, so you might wish to bring a folding chair.

Please; anyone planning to attend this meetup is required to RSVP, as I must keep track of people to avoid an issue with the need to obtain a permit (if need be, I will set up a second meetup session). Thanks in advance for adhering to this request, as I do not wish to become a *fugitive* of the Bergen County Parks Association... :).

I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Ellen

Another great time, for both Pugs and People! It's always fun to get everyone together to socialize (it's also great seeing the Pugs sniffing and chasing tail as well...lol). A total of 21 people and 20 Pugs were in attendance today! Thanks for being so supportive of the group!

Unfortunately, there were several "no shows", which sadly, not only shows a lack of respect for the organizer's time and efforts but also locks out other members who wish to attend an event that's already filled. Please note that your attendance at yesterday's event has been documented as a "No Show". Three "No Shows" (without just reason), will terminate your membership to the NNJPE.

As always, I look forward to seeing everyone soon. Please keep on the lookout for our next scheduled event via email. Thanks!

Ellen, I am sorry we need to cancel our rsvp. I have to get together with my sister tomorrow to work on a bridal shower for our sister in law. I hope everyone has a great time!

    Ellen,
I'm sorry I can't make it this time. My 5 year old pug and my two 5 month old pugs, plus my daughter's two pugs (one 5 month old and one 15 months old) and my sons three pugs 13, 12, 8 year old, and my granddaughter that is 15 month old, I'm so behind in my yard work that I really have to pass this time. I only have two days a week to shop, clean, yard work, etc. I also look in at least 2 days a week on a friend of my mother's that is 97 years old, take her shopping go to the doctors, etc. Hope to make it next month

Hi Ellen sorry I had to change my RSVP to a no. Our vet feels Fiona will not be ready to run and play, she hurt herself last week we don't know how. The vet said its her back. She is much better but not a 100% and she is still on two medications one for pain. Hope we can make it the next time.

Sorry to learn about Fiona, Maria. Is she still not feeling well?

      May 11

She is much better, the vet still wants me to watch her every move. It's very hard to keep her crated all the time, Onyx just wants to play and jump on her when she's not crated. Hopefully we will see you next time.

Sorry everyone, I can't make it as I have a dentist appointment that morning and he is doing major work. I am not sure if I will be feeling okay afterwards. (I found a dentist that is open on Sundays which is a great help. I don't have to take vacation days or go to work late if I went during the week.) Have a great time everyone!

Sorry had to cancel Tug for the May 18 run. He's been invited to Washington, D.C. for the Nationals/Mets game on Saturday the 17th. It's take your pup to the park day at the ballgame. Hope to see you all next time.

William, I hope you and Tug have a great time! The Mets also host a Bring your Dog day at Citi Field a couple of times a year...next time, you won't need to travel so far!

My son is in the Air Force and is stationed near D.C. He and his wife just got a shorkie and wanted to go with Tug. Maybe we can do a NJ pug Meet-Up next time the Mets host the dogs.

Oh I wish we could go! We are actually heading to Cape May that day for 4 nights with our puggy. Supposedly, a lot of dog friendly places in Cape May. We hope to be able to make the next one. They look like a lot of fun according to the pics.

Sorry to be missing you again, Lea! Regarding Cape May; there are several dog-friendly places to stay, as I've taken my Pugs down there several times. If you need help locating one, let me know. Have fun!

Thank you so much! We are actually staying at the Beach Shack. I've read there are a lot of dog friendly restaurants we are excited to check out (one is the Rusty Nail right by our place, they even have a doggy menu! lol) Some of the wineries are dog friendly and I heard the beaches along the Delaware Bay are dog friendly year round (most Cape May beaches are only dog friendly off season).
