I just found these You Tube videos that might be of
interest to everyone in the Club. Go to You Tube and type in "Cooking with
black iron" in the search box. There are four videos showing and
explaining how to reseason Dutch Ovens and other cast iron cooking
ware. They are by David Carbonne.

Thanks to all of you who competed, judged or just stopped by
for yesterday's Soups and Stews Challenge. The fall weather was perfect (well,
except for wind!) and the food was divine! I have posted a couple of photo
albums, one from yesterday's competition and one from our Let's Get Cookin'
gathering. I also posted many recipes from our Main Dish and yesterday's
challenge. You can find them under the Files tab.
Doug had a great idea
for our next meetup. Everyone can email a question they'd like answered about
Dutch Oven cooking. It can be anything from how to clean your Dutch oven to
getting tips on cooking methods. We can all gather at Sportsman's, share tips
and answer each other's questions. It would be a sort of seminar similar to
our Beginner's one that we had early in the summer.
So, send me your
questions via email or the Message Board, and I'll arrange a time for us to
