Hi, Doug.

I am putting together a tip sheet based on what we've learned over the past six months. Do you have any tips you'd like to share?

I have also done some research on re-seasoning rusty ovens and have pulled a couple of items from the internet. I also purchased a re-seasoning oil that Camp Chef offers which I'll bring to our seminar. I haven't used it yet. It is more for adding on to your oven after you've used and cleaned it, not really for dealing with a rusty one. But it is intended to protect the oven from rust.

Thanks, Doug, and see you next week!

Crystal

Crystal,

I am interested in learning how to restore old cast iron cook ware, particularily Dutch Ovens.  I have researched some interesting methods that I could share.  Then, what kind of oil is mainly used to season and how is the Dutch Oven kept to prevent it from becoming rancid?  Does anyone have a favorite brand of charcoal, and why?  See you all on the 14th with a notebook and pen in hand.
