What skills or background do you have that are beneficial to prepping? (e.g. - Ham radio operator, experience canning)

Many years ago I used to teach for a Search and Rescue training camp - survival, communications, land search and rescue. Followed that up with time as an Army Ranger and in Special Forces so have the security experience too even if a little rusty now.

What are some things you would like to learn to help with your preps?

I suck at gardening and have just started on food preservation so learning those skills will be important for long-term sustainability. Also really getting into total off-grid solutions so if the "lights go out" it is of no concern to me (at least as far as my kids and I surviving).

Looking at everything going on and connecting the dots, and thinking it might be a good idea to do some prepping! Let's share ideas and skills with each other so we will be survivors.
