Religious and social reformers of the 19th century had two animating motivations: to recognize, address, and overcome societal ills and, while doing so, imbue our culture with a sense of social justice. Individually that translated into living with a sense of purpose and encouraging others to do the same. Are those aims still as relevant today as they were then? Have we adopted and advanced them, or do we, too, suffer from want of purpose? Ethical Culture Leader Tony Hileman explores this thought provoking issue

Tony Hileman gave a great platform. It was both inspiring and interesting. The people are warm and friendly. There are many activities for all ages.

I will probably be there. Rich has decided that he is not interested in coming back. The platform regarding gun control completely turned him off. He felt it was a rant with no chance to really challenge it. I had encouraged him to speak up that day, but he felt we were too new to the group to say anything. I will admit that I was surprised, as I hadn't realized what the platform address was that day - I thought we were doing a Darwin Day celebration. I missed the announcement about the platform, I guess.

Sorry your husband had a problem with the Platform. Most of our Platform talks are not political but Sven's tend to be.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
