Cardboard City

Exhibition: Works by Artemis Herber, Steve Keene, Valery Koshlyakov
August 27 - September 30

Opening reception with the artists. RSVP to goetheinstitutwashington.eventbrite.com

Three artists from three countries - Germany, the US and Russia – present their aesthetic representations of the city as memorial and as a form of life. Their art gives shape to and raises questions about that which surrounds and influences us.

Their art is made using cardboard, a raw, industrial material which is available everywhere in the world and used for packing and shipping everything we consume.
