A very nice scenic hike along the Millers River from Athol to South Royalston. 8 mile moderate hike at an average pace.

Bring water, lunch, snacks, bugspray, rain jacket. Dress for the weather. Heavy rain cancels.

Meet at 9 am at the Millers River Environmental Center { MREC ) 100 Main Str. Athol. The parking lot is in the rear of the building. From there, we will spot cars. Option to socialize at the South Royalston Country store. They have full menu options.

need to bow out of this great hike (bummer) is there a trail map you were planning to follow tomorrow? Or is it as well marked as the trails around Tully Lake/ the falls? I'd like to try this hike on another weekend...

There is a lot of people going and I have a dog that is bigger than most. Probably not a good idea. Enjoy.

Hi - is this a flat walk or are there hills and dales (so to speak)? Thanks!

There is some up and down. Nothing really considered too strenuous. We are spotting cars. So its an a to b hike. Hikers are expected to compete hike, as turning around is not really an option do to the logistics of it.
