CREATIVE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY I - Unlocking your DSLR's potential

This location is shown only to members

Designed for the new budding Digital SLR photographer who wants to start using the camera to express their creative spirit, this course is designed to take you from snapshots to creating fine art portraits, landscapes, and action shots in three hours.

This intensive, one evening workshop is held in a photo studio environment, so be sure to bring your camera and accessories along. Class size is limited to 15 people. That means I値l be able to look at each of your skills level individually, and see what it takes to get your photography to the next higher level. \We値l look at your personal camera as a creative tool for portraits, landscapes, and action shots.

Are you ready to shift your digital SLR out of auto mode? Is it time to see what a huge difference selecting APERTURE and SHUTTER SPEED can make? We値l go through exposure modes, finding and using natural light, and learning how to use a tripod and an electronic flash.

With these basic tools of creative digital photography, you値l be able to stop or blur motion, control focus and control exposure. We値l look at using depth of field and composition as a creative tools to bring landscapes to life, learn to use natural light to create portrait shots, and do hands on exercises that combine using available light and flash.

At first it may seem like a lot to cover in three hours, but by combining hands on studio shooting experiences with multimedia presentations, this class can cover a lot of ground in a short period of time because you'll both see and do the techniques presented using your own personal camera.

You'll need a digital SLR camera, or a compact digital camera with manual controls in order to get the maximum benefit out of this class.

COST: $35.00 EA

I think it's best to keep this meeting "small", don't you?

I would recommend a smaller group for such classes. Paul is an idea instructor, completely knowledgeable, helpful, and presentation was thorough and nicely paced. I would love a class on "Principles of Night Photography".

I learned a lot about my camera, how to shoot in a variety of situations, and that there is so much that I don't know. This has inspired me to experiment, practice, and keep on learning.
  • Valerie Olenick
Paul was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I was able to ask questions that in other circumstances I would have been embarrassed to ask. So it was a wonderful learning experience.

Paul is a wealth of information
