Wild Edible Plant Walk

Join us and learn about the wild greens of spring! We'll meet plants have been valued through the ages for their flavor, nutrition and spring tonic effects.

This will be an easy, 1-1/2 hour hike through coastal fields and wooded spots. Some of the plants we might find are chicory, mints, dandelion, garlic mustard, sorrels, burdock, lamb's quarters and maybe asparagus!  We'll also look for other plants that will provide a bounty later in the season.

The brief agenda:

10:30- Meet and greet in the parking lot

10:45- Head out to meet the plants

12:45- Wrap up

Please wear appropriate foot wear for possible muddy conditions

Suggested donation of $2- $5 to help cover meetup costs.

I quite enjoyed it. The scenery was gorgeous. The information was just what I wanted. Charlotte did a great job of keeping us interested and moving along.
