We will talk about types of plants (perennials, veggies, herbs, annuals), planting seeds vs. planting plants from a nursery. What do you want to grow? How to and what to look for when purchasing plants and where you can/should buy them.

FREE package of Renee Seeds for all attendees, handouts, and more free raffles.

Fee of $10 can be paid the day of the meet up, cash only, please. Raindate: Friday, May 16.

I will have perennials and organic perennial herbs for only $3 plus some awesome organic fertilizer you can purchase at a discount.

    Those shallots are very robust.

When is that next meetup you're having? Maybe I can get a "starter" rhubarb from you then. Thanks.

I have Rhubard and might be able to dig some out for you, it's organic. I wouldn't purchase any edibles unless they are labeled organic from stores, most stuff I've bought has not made it in my gardens.

We've already planted almost everything we got last night.
Bought a "pre-fab" package of rhubarb from Home Depot... but I'm skeptical that anything will come of it. Know any good sources for rhubarb?

Nice to meet you Louis and your friend! Hope to see you again...it was a nice night. Thanks for coming, it was a good group of gardeners. We'll talk more about perennials and veggies in other classes coming up too. Next is container gardens and well touch upon raised beds.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
