I'm not sure what to make of your wide-ranging group description.
I lead field trips and workshops on fern identification for the NE Wild Flower Society, among others. I don't encourage eating them though.

re: the forst perennial gardening. This sounds kind of interesting as I live in a dry forest. You're only about a 15 minute drive from my house and totally on the way. But it's hard to plan so far in advance. If I go I definitely could carpool with you. Gitama
