Scott Hahn Live: Evangelization Old and New

Evangelization Old and New: Lessons from the Early Church’ & ‘The New Testament, the Eucharist, and the Early Church.

What is the New Evangelization and why is it the greatest priority of the Church at this time?  Why did Bl. John Paul II teach that Catholic evangelization must be based on the Eucharist?  What difference does the Eucharist make when it comes to explaining Jesus' death and resurrection?  How do we as Catholics understand the need for -- and the process of -- conversion?  Dr. Hahn will also look at how we can share our faith with family members, friends and co-workers.  As Pope Benedict reminds us, there is even a need for "evangelizing the baptized."

A question and answer period and an opportunity to purchase many of Dr. Hahn’s books and CDs will follow.

Dr. Hahn is currently a Professor of Theology and Scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990, and is the founder and director of the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In 2005, he was appointed as the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hahn is also the bestselling author of numerous books including The Lamb’s Supper and Reasons to Believe.

COST: $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

We estimate 600 people attended this wonderful event. Dr. Hahn's message, as always, was very powerful and enthusiastically received. He stayed well past the scheduled event close to sign books for everyone who wanted his purchase personalized. A great event that continues the exciting work of Our Lady of Ransom's Spiritual Enrichment Committee. Stay tuned for more great events upcoming.

Very inspiring talk. I learned a lot about my religion. My only complaint is the talk was a bit too long and towards the end, Mr Hahn started repeating his main message.
