We will meet at the South Building (regular meeting room) at 7pm.
There is a photo album set up Reading Photographs—March Meeting. As we discussed at the first meeting the photograph that you wish to discuss must be posted to the album no later than four days prior to the meeting (March 22th). This way, everyone will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the images before the meeting.
If you have information you wish to share about the photograph it can be posted along with the image. If you see images in the album that you wish to comment on or have questions about, that also can be done on in the album comments. I would ask that for this meeting that you post no more than two photographs. That will give us an opportunity to see how many photographs we might be able to discuss within the time frame of the meeting.
Downsize your photographs to about 1024 pixels on the longest dimension.
We had an excellent March program on Miksang presented by Denise Bossarte. She discussed the five elements of Level 1 Miksang and I believe that would be a good starting point for the discussions at this meeting. The elements are: color, pattern/texture, space, dot in space, and light. Throughout her talk I was thinking how much better we would be as photographers if we had began our association with photography concentrating on those five elements rather than the conventional wisdoms we have so ingrained.
