Reading Photographs--April

Note: This meeting will be on a Thursday in the Main Building at Doss Park, Rm 114.

I want to remind everyone that there is a blog set up for the reading group. Photovisualization I have tried to slow down on the posting until everyone has an opportunity to sort of catch up. As I say at the beginning—this is writing that reflects my view of photography. IMO there is some really good stuff there from David duChemin, Minor White, Ian Roberts, even Ralph Waldo Emerson and Roger Ebert (RIP). There is a lot there for serious discussion. I am open to suggestions as how to utilize the blog most effectively.

Anytime discussing photography is time well spent.

Vey enjoyable. It was nice to just discuss photographs, personal reasons for taking photographs and the various aspects of the ways a photograph has impact on us.

    HI all...
Does anyone have the tool that removes a filter from the lens? If so, could you bring it to the meeting? I have a very broken, stuck filter :-)
    Thanks!

Clayton, That is a good question. I know Michael is not going to be there, he's working. I am not sure about David. Those are the two projectors. I will set up an album so that photos can be downloaded. If some bring laptops maybe we can do that. Otherwise, we will just talk about photography, maybe some of the articles that I have put on the blog recently.

Gary, are you still asking for us to upload images for review and if so how again is this to be done? Thanks

Gary, no problem getting to the site with either link. Can't wait for the next meeting. I've cleared everything so that I can make it. Thanks also although the photo of the Live Oak got a second place. I'll see if I can upload it to the meetup site. I like it a lot. I think it is one of the best I've taken to date. I'm really liking B&W over color.

Clayton, Congrats on the first place last night. I didn't get to see your photo up close but during the discussion it looked great. There is a link to the blog in the blurb above. If you have problems that that one here it is: http://photovisualize.blogspot.com/
