June’s Monthly Program Meeting: Review the Club’s Print Judging Process

June’s program will be a review of club’s print judging process. Although the judging is largely subjective, our presenters will discuss the why a print might be assigned particular rank within each of the club defined judging categories. Both “good” and “not as good” prints will be discussed. Once the presenters have completed their discussion, a set of prints will be sent out for the audience to judge with a final review of their assessment for comparison.

We may not like what we heard but we got sufficient information to get us started on judging and finding our own pathway. I thought it was a good night overall.

Lots of good information on critiquing. Now I know that I don't have to like a photo for it to be good. Subjective can be difficult for me, but I get it!

A Suggestion, to put into practice what was discussed tonight how about posting photos to the meeting album for 'judging.: I will start the ball rolling with three in each of the categories. Feel Free to assign them numbers.
