I am an advanced amateur and just a few days ago switched to using an Olympus OM-D E-M5. Really love the IBIS for use with adapted lenses. My two favorite lenses are a 34 year old Canon FD 400mm ƒ4.5 and a Lester A. Dine 105mm ƒ2.8 macro. Mostly I shoot wildlife/nature, macro and the occasional abstract/artsy photos.
Wildlife, Nature, Macro (mostly insects and bugs, not so much flowers unless it has a bug on it).
I have been involved in photography for around 20 years. Got started when I was in the Navy and got assigned to an intel photography team. Shot nothing but Canon (that is what we used in the Navy and had access to wonderful L glass). January 2013 sold all my Canon gear and switched to a Fuji X-E1. Great camera, but not suited to my photographic interest. Now shooting an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and loving the camera.
Lets see.... Retired from the Navy in 2006 and returned to Houston. Went to work for Halliburton for awhile then decided to finish my degree, so quit and became a full time student and finished my degree.
