Laughter Yoga, Loving Kindness (Metta) Meditation & Support @ Inner Balance

Faye is back once again to guide us in another session of Laughter Yoga. Laughter Yoga is a physically-oriented technique that uses a perfect blend of playful, empowering and otherwise "tension-releasing" laughter and breathing exercises. These exercises are simple, structured and based on the philosophy of "acting happiness." They are appropriate and beneficial for all. You do not need to have a sense of humor, be happy or have any reason to laugh.

10 reported benefits from laughing: Laughter is a stress buster, it strengthens the immune system, is anti-aging, is considered aerobic exercise, it's a natural pain killer, it can control high blood pressure, it can reduce anxiety and depression, it improves our sense of humor, it alleviates bronchitis and asthma and finally, it just makes you feel good!

Please join us for what has become a popular event in our circle!

TIME: Our meeting time will be 7:00pm so please arrive as close to 7:00pm as possible. We will begin our meditation at 7:15pm. This meetup should end by approximately 9:30pm.

LOCATION: Inner Balance is located at the intersection of Pfingsten & Maria (northwest corner). That's between Dundee & Lake Cook across from Underwriters Laboratories. Parking is available in the lot west of the office park. Proceed up the center pathway until reaching Suite 107. If you think that you might need some additional help finding us, please feel free to contact me prior to the closing of RSVP's & I will be happy to provide you with my cell #.

FORMAT: We will begin the evening with a centering exercise followed by Faye's guided Laughter Yoga program and then conclude with an abbreviated 25-30 minute guided Loving-Kindness (Metta) meditation. When we finish there will time for questions, reflection and mingling for those who would like to participate.

FYI: Chairs will be available for those who prefer to use them. For those who choose to sit on the floor, blankets, cushions & floorchairs are available but feel free to bring your own, meditation bench, pillow, yoga mat or zafu cushion if you prefer.

COST: A voluntary donation of $1.00 to help offset expenses would be most appreciated but is by no means expected.
