GUEST SPEAKER:  Lars Giusti - Owner of LGimages

Lars is a freelance photographer, based in Seattle, Washington, who specializes in portraiture, travel, and landscape photography.

An overwhelming desire to travel and capture various cultures in his images was cultivated at a young age. His relentless pursuit to discover and document peoples and places brought him to over 60 countries all over the world. This list of countries is rapidly growing. His goal is to create images with impact that tell a story and evokes emotion in the viewer.

In His Own Words

I celebrate the splendor and variety of the natural and human heritage with my photography. For much of my life I have been privileged to travel, trek, and explore some of the most unique corners of the world. I could give you this long and giant bio and artist statement...but no one really cares! Instead, I'd just like to tell you I love to take photos and have been doing so for nearly 25 years it is a great job and an amazing journey. I am totally inspired by the natural world around me. If one of my photographs captures your eye and compels you to stare at it a while and either takes you away to a different place or makes you feel good inside, I've achieved my goal as a photographer.

In NNWP Director, Noel's own words:  Lars is a greatly admired photographer, in addition to the work listed above, he is a master with lighting, flash and working in nature's difficult settings.  He is the envy of (most) men, in having the skill and talent, a professional career in photographing for some of the most beautiful women in fashion.

I really enjoyed Lars and learning more about portrait photography.
It might be a fun photo challenge to bring in a portrait for a change of pace.

GREAT idea for the July photo challenge. "A photographic portrait; representation of a person or animal (of any kind) in which the face and its expression is predominant.

Excellent, and well worth the drive from Gig Harbor. Noel has a wonderful way of facilitating the meeting, and pulling everyone into thoughtful participation. The guest speakers Noel brings in are fabulous, and the members of the group are friendly and open to sharing techniques and great places to shoot. A lot of fun and learning too!

An enjoyable meetup. Lars made a good presentation with a lot of information, tips, things to think about, and so forth, and it was presented in a sincere manner. One of the best parts about this meetup group is the great members. It's always nice to hang around and talk to others who have the same interests. Every meetup I go to, I learn many things from those with more experience than I have, or different backgrounds, or points of view, etc. The longer time frame was nice. The library location was very convenient as well. Thanks Noel, Roland, Lars, and all involved :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
