Trail Rating C3, T2.5
A classic, mucho fun trail that connects Frisco to Breckenridge. Beautiful mountain scenery. It has a rather lengthy climb including some steep parts, and it has some tricky rocks and roots. Altitude ranges from 9,000 to 10,500 so riders need to allow for possible rapid weather changes. We’ll ride an out-and-back of around 3-4 hours time, followed by a visit a nearby pub or restaurant in in Frisco. Estimated return time: back to the Wooly Mammoth parking lot 4:30-5:30pm.
CARPOOL: 8:00am meet at the Wooly Mammoth parking lot at I-70 & exit 259 (the first exit west of I-470). We will arrange carpooling there. To find us: from exit 259, go a short distance north to the stoplight and turn left onto the frontage road. The Wooly Mammoth parking lot is big; we will meet at the far end, i.e., the west end of the lot approximately across from the gas station. Look for Pat’s silver Pontiac Vibe hatchback.
