Betasso Preserve, trail rating C2.5 / T2
Bud will lead this Boulder County ride, a little earlier in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. Ride duration approx 2.5 hours. Bring snacks and beverages for a little social time afterward; hopefully we’ll find a picnic table, if not then we’ll tailgate it. Trail map and park info:
MEETING TIME / PLACE: Meet at the main parking lot at 9:00, ready to pedal 9:10. See directions below.
DIRECTIONS: Starting from the intersection of Broadway St. and Canyon Rd in Boulder, go west on Canyon Rd 5.2 miles (Canyon Rd becomes hwy 119). Turn right on Sugarloaf Rd (County Rd 122) and go 0.9 miles. Turn right onto Betasso Rd. Go 0.4 miles to the park entrance and turn left. The main trailhead is a couple hundred feet ahead on the left. Google Maps finds the entrance road to the park as 677 Betasso Rd Boulder CO. If the main lot is full there are two other parking lots a few pedal strokes away, see above link for map. Look for Bud and his white Toyota pickup truck with topper.
CARPOOLING: Arrange individually by posting a message on this event. Don't post your phone number in the message, use Meetup email for that. One option for a place to meet is the gravel parking lot at southwest corner of hwy 93 and Golden Gate Canyon Rd, Golden.
