For casual runners looking to meet new people, get some exercise, and have the occasional guiltless brunch.
The goal of this group is to be a casual running group for those who are looking to get a run or two in during the week with the company of strangers. Ok, they are strangers now, but they won't be afterward, am I right?
If you've ever looked at the other running groups on here and thought 'there is no way I am getting up at 5:00 AM to go running' or 'I have to put bandaids where?', this group is probably for you.
My pace for runs of 1-3 miles is usually about 10-11 min/mile. I am hoping to slowly improve, but the point is that this group is for people who are not serious athletes looking to compete. That being said, we might look into some 5K's for fun... but that will be optional - I'll post details and whoever is interested can come.
I encourage members to take the lead and schedule runs so we can cover different neighborhoods, fitness levels, and schedules. If you are interested, let me know and I can make you an event organizer. All it takes is showing up!
