Ciao amanti del cinema italiano...

As you can see, we're showing another film next Sunday - 24th November - at the Hallward Library Sceening Room, which Julie has very kindly booked for us again. The suggestion is that we meet outside the library - or in the foyer if it's too cold! - at 1.15pm, with a view to getting the film started no later than 1.45pm (there might be time for a quick drink in the cafe in between). We'll need to go in together, as Julie will need to arrange access.

Those of you who came to the last film will know that there were a few technical problems with using the library's new DVD machine, but I'll check to make sure that these have been ironed out before next Sunday.

Given that there isn't much time left, I've gone ahead and ordered the preferred choice so far - Benvenuti Al Sud - a 2010 comedy:

Grazie - a presto.

Mi avrebbe fatto tanto piacere finalmente conoscervi e parlare in italiano. Purtroppo sono di nuovo impegnata :-o

Is there parking near to the library?
Thank you all so much for the warm welcome last week. It was so nice to listen to Italian again. I hope to join in when I become more confident.
Must admit Benvenuti Al Sud was my choice too!

Hi Jeanette. Yes, there's a car park directly in front of the Hallward Library. Should be fine to park there on Sunday.

Ok, thanks. Given that we don't have a lot of time left, I've just ordered the DVD of Benvenuti Al Sud from Amazon. Hopefully, it's delivered in time (if not, I'm pretty sure I can 'get hold of' a version without subtitles ;-)).

Benvenuti al Sud would be my choice, like Jill I loved Bienvenue Chez les Chti's!

I'd be interested in seeing Roma Citta Aperta (as it sounds interesting) or Benvenuti al Sud (as Bienvenu Chez les Chti's is a great film and could be interesting to see the Italian Twist on it. I'd still come to see the others, but not so bothered. My husband might come with me.

Hi there everyone. Please remove me from the group as I am abroad so much there is no realistic chance of may attending any meetings. Just come back from New Zealand, now in Indonesia and then to Manila. I enjoyed the meetings I did attend when I had more time! Best wishes, james

Sorry you can't make it (again), Susana. Don't forget, there's another pub meet-up the Thursday after the film... Alla prossima!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
