Small scale biomass gasification for sustainable and local energy production

People can use garden prunings and woodchips to produce their own electricity and heating, but is it sustainable?

Dr. Andrew Rollinson will discuss biomass fuels, the science behind gasification and the history of charcoal production. Is it sustainable, safe and how does it compare to other renewable technologies?

I'd also prefer an 8 pm start time to allow for getting over from Ilkeston.

    Cheers, J/.

A later start time (perhaps 8pm ? ) would be better for me.

Hi. Is this still happening ?

Would love to have come to this, but I'm on a course all this week so it would be unwise in so many ways.

On the hand, this is one of the most interesting meetup subjects I've seen so far.

I was chatting to the CAT Site Engineer about their Talbotts biomass CHP the other day. Not very successful as I understand it.

Getting this to work well would be quite a Holy Grail though !

    Cheers, J/.
