See the film, "Side Effects" at the Broadway.

Hey everyone,  the 'psychobabble' film returns!  As some of you will know Liam started putting up some films with a particularly psychological feel to them.  We decided that this interesting looking film would be a great way to do that again.  "Side Effects" looks to be curious and thought provoking, questioning the nature of psychological health and the use of medication.  The full details are on the Broadway site as usual or in the guide.

With psychobabbles, we meet just prior to the film with a view to having a drink and chat afterwards to discuss it and try to make sense of it, if possible!!!  No knowledge or anything is needed just interest!  So we suggest meeting around 1.15, the film starts at 1.45pm and if it's in a small screen we will head to seats about 1.30pm.

Of course do go for food/drinks beforehand too if you want to.

At the moment it's scheduled to be in screen 3, [next to smallest] so booking in advance may be useful.

So for a powerful and interesting film and hopefully nice chat afterwards, do join us.  There will still be lots of the day left to celebrate St Patrick if you want to!

Thanks for suggesting this film Gill. I enjoyed it and the company. Could've been much more complex though exploring altered states of consciousness and the dodgy stuff that gods on around pharma trials

Having spent 3 years in Newcastle, 'filum' is a Northern English thing isn't it? :o)

Well, filum is apparently a 'delicate thread of fibrous tissue'. Fillum on the other hand appears to be some sort of code used to identify anti-(southern)English sentiment ... http://forums.digital...

Looking forward to a discussion afterwards. The trailer makes it look like we might still be wondering what was really going on. Hope everyone has a story to share about their own experience of mind altering drugs ;)

I was thinking of suggesting a quick look at the parade before heading over to the broadway but it looks like it'll barely have left forest fields by then.
