In conjunction with Not the Camden Market, for the first time ever Not the Hay Book Festival is taking place on Sunday 7th April at Bartons. 10am - 4pm
Authors - Book Stalls - Talks - A FREE EVENT!
11am - Who ARE these people? Gloria Morgan discusses the role of Character in fiction. 11.45am Where do your ideas come from? Writer Philip Baker answers this often asked question.
12.30pm The History of Barton Transport. Author Alan Oxley's talk Gasbags and Gliders will cover the history of the company from 1908 up to 1989.
1.30pm Stephen Booth - Meet the author of the Cooper and Fry crime novels and hear him talk about 'A sense of place and the use of locations'.
With market stalls including food and drink which can be enjoyed in the seating area; visitors can also listen to live poetry, readings and children’s stories.
In addition to the typical wide variety of stalls there will also be other literary events taking place.
