Rounders & Picnic

Yes its that time of year again:

Picnics at the ready but for some

more importantly the chance to grasp onto something long and hard........ yes of course a rounders bat, (what else!!!)

We did a few of these last year and know its a popular event so here we go again,

We will create a picnic area where we can chill and like last year if those that come along just bring something along to make a giant feast for all to enjoy, (and by past events they do become a big feast)

please what ever you decide to bring to share, please leave as a comment, so we all know what others are bringing, that way not everyone just brings baps/cobs/bread and no one brings fillings, or we have just 300 packets of crisps or 17 bottles of coke and no one brings cups or glasses,

I do have a couple of floor coverings (picnic blankets) but if other have them please bring them along too

As for rounders equipment I can provide all that is needed there,

So come and enjoy the sun (hopefully by June summer would of finally arrived) chat and a few good old fashioned games of rounders,

A practise time to get your trainers on and a quick run round before the return of 'Old School Sports Day' (Nottingham 'Meet Up' Olympics 2013) returns, which will be happening around end of June or July,  and be even better than last year!!

Just a bit of an update - Weather looking good for tomorrow, sunny all day according to the forecast!! - I will be there at 1pm, I am going to put a large tarpaulin down, so if people want to put there picnic blankets on top then please do so, I have to shoot off and collect my son about 1.15, while I am away Liam and Kiran will cover as hosts, when I get back will set up rounders, so enjoy the picnic while I am absent and if I don't see you at 1pm I shall do so at about 2.30pm - so tomorrow enjoy and have fun, dont forget the sun lotion I am sure it will be a great event - Andy

could you give me a idea what to bring for the picnic and is alcohol
    on the list?

    1 · May 29, 2013

    • Kiran

I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you bring... just consider "finger food" is more practical... otherwise whatever works for you. As for alcohol... that's up to you, though it's not generally something people tend to bring for the picnic. Your choice... if you're not driving!

      May 29, 2013

    • Andy S.

alcohol is ok but Not sure if there is a law of: drunk in possession of a rounders bat!!
