Cheapskates Brunch - GB Cafe

A change of pace this time round and another foray to the other side of the tracks (well, Lower Parliament St anyway !).  A Cheapskate's Lunch regular has been suggesting this one for a while now and I've also read that they do the best value breakfast in Nottingham.  That remains to be seen but for anyone who remembers a visit we did to the Warsaw Diner a while back this should be an interesting comparison.

The menu is along the lines of 'eat anything you like as long as it's breakfast' and to be fair there are numerous varieties of breakfast to choose from, most of which will set you back about £5.  Vegetarians are catered for too natch.

Note that in keeping with the breakfast theme I've given this event a more brunchlike starting time than usual.  Plus starting a bit earlier will hopefully beat the lunchtime crowds ...

The place isn't difficult to find - from town head along Carlton Street, avoid the temptation to turn into Broad Street, straight on down Goosegate and Hockley, across Lower Parliament Street into Gedling Steet and as you come into Sneinton Market Square the café is on your left.

Oh and after if people are interested, and have room for it, we can head across the road to Tasty Bites for the kind of proper traditional cakes/slices/tarts you thought they didn't make anymore.  Definitely one for the nostalgics ...

Cheapskates Lunch is open to all with the vague idea of eating the world.  Cheaply.  Within striking distance of Nottingham centre.  Feel free to join us if you like interesting, inexpensive and unusual food, friendly company and, of course, if you're free at lunchtimes.  You might just be surprised how many different cuisines are represented in this little city of ours ...
