I saw the first film in the Hobbit trilogy in 3D on the IMAX and I really enjoyed it so I want to see the second in 3D IMAX as well. The 48 fps HFR 3D has proved to be pretty controversial but I thought it was cool. Director Peter Jackson has taken heed of some of the criticism of the HFR 3D being too "sharp" and he has changed the way he has filmed the 2nd installment to compensate so Ill be very interested to see how it looks. Whatever, I certainly think its worth the extra money to see it as the director intended.
I've booked my ticket online at a cost of £12.50 for the 19:40 showing. Ill be in Saltwater from 7pm for a quick drink beforehand.
So if you want to see this film I urge you to leave any predjudices you might have against the new high frame rate 3D behind and come and see it in all its glory!
