Saturday Night Out in Hockley - Drinks and Music

Well start at one of Nottingham's best hidden secrets, the BoilerMaker bar. From the outside it looks like a weird shop front for a boiler supplier. Inside is a great American style cocktail bar. Sorry I've had to limit numbers to 10 as this is the maximum group size allowed.

Meet outside the BoilerMaker at 7pm.

At about 9pm we'll head to the Jam cafe for what looks like an intruiging mix of live and DJed music. I can't wait to see what the "Genre Clash DJs" come up with!

Ill post this as a separate event because there's no need to limit the numbers on that.

Apologies to everyone about not being able to get into the Boilermaker. I now understand their booking policy so I'll put it on again later and book well in advance! I enjoyed tilt though, some very interesting cocktails, e.g. the wasabitini. I did quite like that one.

Hi All, Right here's the plan. I'll wait outside the BoilerMaker from about 6:45 pm until I assemble my 10 people, then well go in.

For anyone who isn't quite sure where it is, my advice is: stay on same side as Sainsbury's at top of Carlton Street and walk down the hill, its just before you reach Broad Street. Its a really small room, painted white with about 4 central heating boilers on the wall. No signs with a name or anything like that. Just a counter withh the doorman standing behind it. You really can't mistake it for anything else. Here is a link to Google streetview, showing what used to be there, a Bar. Common streetview, we need you to update central Nottingham!

Hope that helps. See you later!

Regarding the waiting list, if people want to meet me b4 7pm then we can have a word with the doorman and see if we can get in as 2 groups, but there will be no guarantees on that.

Opposite Nash interiors I think .
It's an old boiler showroom , nothing like a pub.
Best to ask someone when in the area.
Sorry can't make it this time. See you next time .

HI, I am struggling to place the Boilermaker Bar despite looking at the link! Could someone tell me the nearest pub/shop/place of interest next to the pub please? Thank you

I don't know exactly where it is but judging from the numbers it must be on the same side and opposite end of the street from the sainsbury. Almost as far goose gate, perhaps hear the goth/rocker clothing shop.

Hi, the boilermaker bar sounds interesting, but as you have your 10, we may pop in around 8 and then tag along to the jam cafe with you all.
