Sobar is an interesting experiment (and lamentable wordplay) in the heart of the city - an alcohol-free cafe/bar/venue which trades as a creative, vibrant space by day and an alternative bar venue by night.
It is run by the charity Double Impact with the help of a Lottery grant and aims to provide recovering addicts with work experience, training and employment not to mention a 'dry' place to hang out. It also welcomes the general public so whether you're on the wagon or off it come and join us on Monday for some worthy and hopefully tasty nosh.
Starters are around £3. Sharing plates, pizzas, burgers etc are around £8pp.
Here are a couple of links - have a furtle around in the Facebook photos and you might find a sample menu if you're interested: https://www.facebook.com/SobarNottingham https://twitter.com/SobarNottm
Cheapskates Lunch is open to all with the vague idea of eating the world. Cheaply. Within striking distance of Nottingham centre. Feel free to join us if you like interesting, inexpensive and unusual food, friendly company and, of course, if you're free at lunchtimes. You might just be surprised how many different cuisines are represented in this little city of ours ...
