Lady Bay Arts Festival

Lady Bay Arts Festival 2014

17th and 18th May
12-6pm

"60 artists in 21 venues, offering a chance to spend the weekend in Lady Bay enjoying the unique experience of viewing art in artists's studios and the homes and gardens of local residents."

"We are very excited about what  we have on offer to visitors for 2014. Particularly the school's programme where we've recruiting artists and workshop leaders to run workshops focusing on the theme of 'Faces' as part of our ongoing commitment to the participation of children and young people in Nottinghan & Nottinghamshire. Meanwhile at the Church and the halls we have artists who use drawing as part of their practice as part of The Drawing Room. We've been able to widen our workshop provision across the arts trail and to expand our refreshments facilities by involving local businesses and community groups."

"There will be a number of workshops and activities for children at Lady Bay Primary and some other venues. Refreshments will be widely available and as usual home made cakes and wine will be on offer."

"Admission is £2.50 per adult for the whole weekend and free for children and includes entry to all venues."

Meet in the Poppy and Pint at 12ish for a drink before having a look round the many exhibitions.  We could arrange to meet in the pub again later if people wish.

I have been to this annual event many times. I am not "arty" but it is great fun. It will be interesting to do it in a group.
