Something different for lunchtime. Two things different in fact ! First, this event is unusually on a weekend and second, it's a film ! An engrossing documentary about a celebrated 85-year old Tokyo sushi chef, it's worth seeing just for the mouthwatering food but it's about much more than that. It's on at the Broadway for one screening only at 1.30pm on 24th Feb.
'Wholly delightful' says the Guardian, 'sure to delight foodies and cinephiles alike' says Timeout, while the Telegraph thinks it 'sets a drool-flecked new standard in food porn'.
I'm suggesting a post-movie bite around the corner at Bonzai at 3.15pm (see separate meetup event) where we can have a chat about the documentary and enjoy some appropriate tastes so come along for that or join us for a pre-film drink at 1.00pm in the café-bar at Broadway. The film itself starts at 1.30pm in Screen 2. There were about 100 seats left at 5pm on Saturday.
