Dear Group Member,
The Leadership team at the Nottingham Spanish Language Group have decided to follow the lead of other Meetup groups in the area, and include a code of conduct on the group's website. The main purpose of this is to ensure that the group's members continue to participate according to the principles set up by Dani when she started the group. These are to exclude activities which are unwelcome to some members, such as using the group for overt business marketing or as a substitute for online dating sites. Of course, this doesn't refer to members who meet new friends or business contacts as part of attending the group events and socialising with other members.
The code of conduct can be found on the group's discussion board at:
And is reproduced below.
Many thanks for your attention and the Leadership team hope to see you at a Meetup event soon, chatting away in Spanish.

The Code of Conduct for the Nottingham Spanish Group.
Members should not:
Post advertisements for their own or other products, or link to external sites that do.
Ask to meet members or hosts they have not yet met outside calendared meetups.
Behave in a way that causes our members to feel uncomfortable, harassed or threatened, either in person or by email/message.
Any member, host, or organiser who is found to breach this code of conduct will be removed from the group.
We are a very friendly group and our members enjoy our meetup events, practising language, benefiting from cultural exchange and socialising. It is important to the leadership team that this pleasant and relaxed atmosphere is maintained for all members.
If you have any concerns or wish to discuss any concerns about breaches of the code of conduct, even if they seem minor but are causing concern, then please contact the Leadership team on the home page.
Dani, Murielle, Kathryn
