Green Light Festival

Green Light is major one-day festival to celebrate and showcase sustainable living in Leicester, organised by local volunteers.

The event features over 40 interactive stalls, over 30 expert talks and practical workshops as well as an art exhibition, music, local food, lots of useful information on going green at home and much more...

See their website for further information: http://greenlightfestival.org/

I am running a tombola & information stall on behalf of Leicestershire Vegetarian and Vegan Group at the event to raise vegetarian/vegan awareness whilst raising money for animal sanctuaries around the UK. We have received some really generous (and largely vegan) donations so if you travel to Leicester for the event, please come and say 'hi' as you chance your luck for a good cause.

Food is being provided by Green Garden Cafe, Mirch Masala and Currant Affairs and there is an after party at the Font Bar should people want to continue into the evening.

Be nice to see you there for any who venture across.

Fabulous - can we have some on our Leicester group stand as well :) I shouldn't have just assumed that you didn't have any just because I had never seen them - sorry. Jen

Sadly I am not sure we have any publicity for the group do we Peter? We are taking membership for the Leicester veggies on our stall so perhaps Mike and I can simply promote Notts Veg Meet Up at the same time

I'll be at Green Light with the rest of the Veggies crew. Why not bring some publicity for the meetup group to add to our vegan outreach info.

Yay it will be so nice if some of you guys can make it :) It looks like a good packed day and I have already decided which stall is getting my custom for lunch!!! Shivalli might be a good plan if people are planning on staying around...I think I will be there till at least 7.30pm though not sure if I need to head to Sheffield that evening.
