Meal at Café Nomad last week of August

Updated 14 August - going with Saturday meeting from 7pm onwards. (Other 2 possible days now cancelled). A poll the best day for a meal at Squeek in September will go up shortly.

Café Nomad a small (holds around 22 people) vegetarian restaurant on the Hucknall Road to the north of Nottingham doing food with Mediterranean and North African influences. They have no licence but bringing your own drink is fine.

Great company, food pretty good: main course needed a bit more seasoning, but that chocolate pancake stack was amazing! Looking forward to the next meetup.

Thanks to Peter for organising this. Definitely worth the visit, and a very successful evening.

An excellent restaurant, quality of food, company and evening in general. Perhaps the only down side to the food being Gill's dumplings. Quite expensive but imaginative and lovingly produced and worth the cash ultimately, and one to go back to. I now know what a 'kufta' is - and tagine, and moussaka. Kathryn you left your cardigan there!

Good company. Didn't really enjoy my meal, may be not a good choice, I'm not sure? Others seemed ok. I prefer Squeek. :)

Anyone using the 16/17/18 buses from the city centre, ask the driver for the Ebury Road stop, from there walk up a little bit to Mayo Road then cross over.

Hey, there are buses which go passed. The Brown line ones go from outside Waitrose, opposite Victoria Centre, numbers, 16, 17, 18. Get off the bus after it turns a corner, passing The Grovesner pub, just passed a college. It's only about 5 minutes from where you get on, just up Mansfield Road and down the other side, passed 2 roundabouts. Hope that helps. :)
