I think any common interest binds people together and what can be more convivial than wine?
I have been on a wine tasting course before, a very long time ago but had to pull out half way through as I was expecting my daughter
I am a novice I am afraid although have been to vineyards in Cyprus and France
Gosh what a question - I suppose the pariring with food is most important to me - knowing what to match with a particular flavour so that it enhances the experience. Otherwise, it depends on the mood. On a hot summers afternoon, a light fragrant rose is good where the scent would be important, on a cold winters evening a rich dark red would be great and there the mouthfeel and warmth would deliver
