...tinuing to investigate these heinous crimes." It has been two days since the mass poisoning that claimed the lives of 204 New Yorkers this past New Year's Eve. Investigators claim that they are close to finding culprits, but according to sources within the DEA, FBI, and DHS, no suspects have been named and an arrest is far off. Evidence indicates that large batches of the street drug "Pigment" had been tainted with strychnine, a poison occasionally used as a pesticide and rat poison.
"Due to the large scale of this attack and its coordination, it seems unlikely that the poisoning was accidental. It seems some agent purposefully distributed the tainted drugs in advance of the holiday weekend."
That was Special Agent Jesse Osorio commenting on the case. Rumors that the Orpheus Terrorists have been involved in this poisoning are ongoing.
"We do not have any evidence to suggest, at present, that the Orpheus Terrorists participated in this crime. We will continue to aggressively follow all leads."
