Ok so if all goes well we will be meeting at Freshday Cafe on 48th street in Manhattan on THIS SATURDAY, the 17th. Suggested start time is 2pm, let me know if that works for everyone!
On the trail of their missing adopted father, Rusty returned briefly to the Farm to conduct research, whilst Robert and Joe followed their best lead to East St. Louis, Illinois. An offshoot of urban decay from its better known sister city across the river, the normally melancholy town was in the throes of celebration for the return of John Howard, a hero of the Afghan war. The local Marine had unknowingly brought back with him a terrifying secret after being stationed in the Phillipines, and the city had been plagued by a chilling series of exsanguinations. These killings bore the tell-tale mark of vampire activity, which had brought Darryl Wilson to the scene. An old-school Hunting buddy of Pa's, Darryl had a run-in with the local fangs that left him holed up in a dingy apartment, where Robert and Joe found him preparing for war. Their numbers bolstered by the unexpected arrival of their foster brother Malcolm, they resolved to hunt down the leeches and put an end to the killings. An investigation of the local nightlife almost ended disastrously, as Darryl was seemingly kidnapped by the bloodsuckers and another victim was just barely saved by the arrival of Robert and Malcolm, as well as a mysterious stranger known only as Deacon. A quick consultation with Rusty revealed that the creature they were hunting was in fact not a vampire, but an Aswang- a bloodsucking monster of Filipino legend. Their suspicions now squarely on the young Filipina wife of John Howard, they shadowed her that night and witnessed the beautiful young woman turn into a wrinkled and bent crone with rows of shark-like teeth. They struck swiftly, gunning down the hag before she could escape and claim another victim. Now, they are faced with the challenge of rescuing Darryl from the vampires' clutches, but they are not without hope- they not only know the leeches' nest, they've found the back door...
