Nourishing Wellness Tribe Message Board › We're Live! WoohooO! Now what?
It looks like Meetup has finally launched the group! I am SO incredibly excited! I can't wait to meet you all! We just need to figure out some wonderful events to put on our calendar so that we can connect!
I'm just beginning to immerse myself in this lifestyle, but I knew that I didn't want to go at it alone...thus- the birth of Nourishing Wellness Tribe. But I'm obviously a very inexperienced guide in alternative health! Haha.
So David- when can we meet in a park and do some Qi Gong? ;) I'll send you a message.
I'd like to have a brainstorming session of ideas of things we'd like to do. However- we can start the discussion here.
These are some things I've thought of. Any ideas/comments? Can you help make any of these things happen?

This is great, I'm really glad you started this group. I'm actually in the process of getting certified as a holistic health coach right now, and then I'm going to continue on as an NTP - nutrition therapy practitioner. All my studies and coursework are grounded in holistic health and wellness. I believe in getting the junk OUT, and getting clean, whole foods into our lives to reap the benefits - weight loss, increased energy, better sleep, etc. I'd even be interested in hosting a "natural" weight watchers group in the future - that's a really great suggestion!
In the meantime, I'd love to share my knowledge with the group going forward - for example, providing a talk on gluten, or GMOs, or the dangers of sugar, or mindful eating, or something along those lines.
An immediate suggestion I have is to host some "whole foods" (not the store, but in the sense of "pure foods") cooking classes - Monica Corrado, who runs Simply Being Well out of Loveland, is a fantastic resource who I have worked with in the past. She is utterly amazing, a huge player on the whole foods scene, an expert on GAPS and a board member of Weston A. Price. I've taken her cooking courses before and I absolutely adore her. She does lectures as well.
Anyway, just a few suggestions!
Monica sounds great! I am planning on starting the GAPS intro on July 20th! (I was secretly hoping that perhaps some people would like to try it to and that we could do a soup exchange.)
Do you need locations to host at?
I'm so glad you are all so supportive, because this is totally out of my comfort zone. But I keep thinking..."If I build it...they will come." The support will come...
