Bad Monkey by Carl Hiaasen; The Round House by Louise Erdrich; The Financial Lives of Poets by Jess Walter; Beautiful Ruins also by Jess Walter; Flora, by Gail Godwin; Life after Life by Kate Atkinson; We Were the Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates. I just finished reading a book of Alice Munro short stories.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I read this long ago in high school or college and loved it. I saw it as the book of the month for the Santa Rosa Public Library classic book club and thought it would be fun and interesting to re-read but somehow missed that opportunity.
I remember Joan from back in the days of "the spa" in Sebastopol. I would love to be in a book club with like-minded smart people for stimulating conversation and enjoyment of each other's company.
I love to read and am a beginning writer. I am an attorney and live in Occidental. I love to discuss good books and look forward to meeting new people.
Terrific!!! 5 stars
