It was the best of books, it was the worst of books. More better than bad though.

I up for any of these places and could meet before or after - whatever works for everyone else - although I'm not sure I want to subject the rest of the bookclub to my garlicky breath! I LOVED Ali Baba's when we lived in Irving. Not sure if they've kept everything the same if they've changed names and owners but they had a wonderful buffet on Sundays. (Very heavy on the garlic so we used to only eat there on Saturdays that fell on a 3-day weekend....seriously). :P

There's a middle eastern place in Bedford that's pretty good (at 2712 Brown Trail just south of Harwood)-- Al Wadi -- just checked yelp and it's only open until 4 on Sunday. Lunch before, anyone? I haven't been, but the yelp reviews are good for Central Deli, 2901 Central Dr (at Harwood) in Bedford (it's in a gas station, and the review didn't have any hours).

Cafe Medi (420 Grapevine Highway at Mid Cities aka Cheek-Sparger in Hurst) is also good and open till 9 on Sundays.

Andalous Mediterranean Grill, 6450 N Macarthur Blvd (just north of Royal) in Irving also has good yelp reviews and is open till 8:30.

Now I know which one Andalous is but I haven't been in it, just everything surrounding it. The place I was trying to remember is Terra Med. Grill farther down MAcArthur - I think it used to be named Ali Baba's. No idea what hours it might have on Sundays.

According to yelp it's open from 11-3 on Sunday (I think they have a buffet). 5910 N MacArthur Blvd
Ste 121, Irving, TX 75039 (north of 114)

Zonga's at 7657 Blvd 26 in North Richland Hills (just south of 820 in the 820/183/121 intersection) has mixed yelp reviews but is open till 2 AM. I thought it was one of those buffet places from the outside but it's got dancing and hookah too.

Or that middle eastern place we went to as a group once before with the big table near the Irving Library that Cathy and I are going to survive the zombie apocalypse in. (Kasbah Grill, 2851 Esters , Irving, TX, 75014, corner of Rochelle and Esters, no hours in yelp)

I'm up for trying something new. Did Andalous used to have a different name?If it is the one I am thinking of it is very good. BUT Kasbah Grill is on my list for not repeating. The one time I went there I got lamb that was definitely old and flavorless.

I am interested but don't know a close place open on Sunday.

Barbara had a great suggestion that we should go eat at a Greek restaurant after this meetup. Anyone else interested or know of a good Greek place that's close?
