A ground-breaking book in its day, "Stranger in a Strange Land" has the timeless theme of intimacy and relationships trumping possessions and money, set in a fictional future in which Earth has mastered space flight. Futuristic sexual mores and hypothetical religions maybe disturbing to some readers.

Has anyone else had "I grok, you grok, uh they grok..." sung to the tune of Cyndi Lauper's "I Bop" stuck in their heads for the past two weeks???

If anyone is interested in joining us - a friend and I are going to bring our bikes and ride the Campion Trail in Irving after the bookclub meeting. It's about a 10 mile ride and beginners are totally welcome. It should be a nice day weather-wise for a ride.

I'm having a hard time getting into this book... Anyone else? Does it get better? :)

I have been really surprised. I have hated all Robert Heinlein books I have ever read and I have loved this book even though I have cringed at the end because it has been almost sacriligious at the end.

Is there anyone that can pick me up for book club on Sunday? I read the book and I would really like to be there but I will not have any transportation that day. My car will be in the shop. Someone is taking me to work home and I get home from work around 1-1:15. I live in Bedford about 15 minutes from the euless library.
