The ride : As 2013 draws to a close, we are useing our last Saturday before Christmas to ride and enjoy the company of great friends.

Check out the route, as we have been doing parts of this ride all year, it's fun, safe and social. I expect a pace of somewhere in the 12-15 mph vicinity. Pretty comfortable for most folks. Nobody gets dropped, ever.

The Route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3796869

Start Location - Ride will start at the Green Dragon, post-ride social there.

Pace 12-15 mph

Distance 31.9 miles

Hills Flat. Fitness ½ Day - this should take 3 hours

Attitude Social – nobody gets dropped, we regroup at every turn

Traffic Low with bike paths and bike lanes mostly

Start Time – wheels rolling at 11:15 am – 11:00 am meet & greet – Call Patricia if running late[masked]-0765. We always leave on time, but will wait a minute or 2 if you've called to say that you're that close.

Ride leader contact information – Cell is[masked] or email: [masked].

Rider requirements - Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request. Always bring plenty of water, snacks for energy, a flat repair kit, including a spare tube, a tool kit, and small pump. This is a daytime ride so working lights are not mandatory, but are recommended.

If you are joining the group for the post-ride social, bring a lock. Carry a credit card, cell phone and a little cash to buy refreshments. Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.

Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.

Final Note: RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of NumBumz.

Ride statistics from my computer: 33.2 miles in 2 hours and 55 minutes, average 11.3 mph, max 23.4 mph.

Google Earth says we had an elevation gain/loss of 1153'. No wonder I got tired!

Thanks everyone for coming out today, enjoyed everybody's company. What a Beautiful Day for riding our Bikes, you couldn't ask for much better weather and late December to. Loved meeting David, Maureen and Hugh. Hugh remember to bring back some of that Florida Sun and think of us on January 1st.
On a separate note a Big Thanks for all of you that couldn't attend and you RSVP to no, so other people could get out and enjoy the ride, it's much appreciated.
    Merry Christmas everyone!!!
A Great Big Thank you Alan from JC, Neal and me for being our Official Sweeper.

Always glad to help out, Pat. And I'm glad we had the walkie-talkies available, even if we didn't use them!

My thanks to Pat for a great ride. Couldn't ask for better weather (at this time of year, anyway) or a nicer group of riders!

Pat, you did a great job as a ride leader! The route was great and the day couldn't have been better!! I can't believe it is December and we had sunshine. It was good seeing everyone, and I look forward to January rides! (PS - JC, you are moving to #3 behind Neal and Pat!)

I have too much to do tomorrow, so I will call it now and let someone else ride. It has been a long week. I hope you have a wonderful dry ride.

Too cold & raw for this gal to ride. Here's a spot for someone on the wait list. Have a safe ride if it happens.

Just to let everybody know that if the weather is pretty nasty, this ride will be cancelled. Cross your fingers, toes that we don't get to much rain, it's the continuous rain that doesn't quit. Just to keep everybody safe. I will post it by 9:30 AM. Looking at the forecast I think we will be fine. There are people on the WAIT LIST, if you can't make it please allow enough time to RSVP to NO, so the other people can get on. Thanks, Patricia.

I forgot Alan that it is the (shortest day of the year). I'll blame it on Bryan since he does all of the computer work.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
