** RESCHEDULED! ** Downtown Ministry to the Homeless

Dear Friends,

Due to the Veterans Day Parade that is scheduled for Saturday, November 12th at 11am, our homeless feeding outreach is RESCHEDULED for 3:30pm for the same day. This is an oversight on my part and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may cause in your plans. I realize that some of us may not be able to participate on Saturday do to this time change. Unfortunately, it cannot be helped. The Veterans Day Parade is scheduled to go right past the church at the same time. More than likely, the roads will be blocked off at that time and we would not be able to make it into the church parking lot.

Please plan to join us at 3:30pm if you can make it. I sincerely hope that we will be able to minister to the less fortunate as we are scheduled for that day, albeit we will be coming a little later. Please enjoy the parade, if you happen to be downtown at that time, to honor our veterans who have served our country faithfully and to remember those who poured out the last measure of their devotion to secure our freedom.

Yours in Christ,

Dave Mullen

God bless you,

Jesus loves you!

* New day and time!

* Due to the need to have the parking lot at St. George available for parking rental on Thursday evenings we are moving our serving day to the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Please join us at the new day and time!

Join us for a fun time sharing God's love with the homeless this Saturday morning at St. George Orthodox Church in downtown Orlando. St. George is located at 24 N. Rosalind Ave. on the corner of Rosalind Ave and Wall St, right behind the Orlando Public Library where their drop off window is located. We will meet in the parking lot of St. George's at 11am. You can park in the parking lot of the church. There is no fee to park there. Please enter the 2nd entrance of the parking lot in order to be aligned for the proper angle of the parking spaces.

Please bring food and other items to share. We will be on private property and will not be affected by Orlando's ordinance against feeding large groups. The needy can also always use men’s & women’s clothes, tennis shoes (no hard soled shoes please), socks, toiletries, backpacks, blankets, bottled water and ponchos for rainy weather. We really need the men's clothes though. Any that you can donate would be great!  tongue

** We will not cancel if heavy rain is forecast for the downtown area. Please make your own decision about participating if inclement weather is forecast. A small crew will still go downtown to distribute limited items.

If you arrive early, please wait for the rest of the team before distributing your items to avoid causing confusion among the homeless. Thank you.
