Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving, retired and veteran military, reserves, National Guard, Police and Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution. Our motto is "Not on our watch!"
Western New York has not only honorable veterans of military, law enforcement and fire-fighting services but also many other honorable people who share the same commitment to our country. If you are one of these people from the Western New York Counties, you are invited to join us.
Many of you who have come to this site already know there is a storm cloud hanging over the United States. Government officials are spending our children's money, our education systems are failing when once they were the envy of the world, officials are by-passing the legal procedures for passing laws and, instead, enacting their own policies masquerading as laws, trying to make good, responsible people into criminals, while, it the same time, they ignore the current laws by aiding criminals in this country illegally, and threatening those honorable law enforcement officials and entire states if they even attempt to protect their citizens from the illegal invaders being protected and encouraged to continue to break our laws by the highest office holders of our land. Those of us who have fought for this country, whether on foreign soil or defending our people in the streets of our towns, villages and cities, did not do so, so that the freedom we fought to preserve for this country could be destroyed from within.
Whether you are a Veteran of our Services or a Citizen who shares our deep feeling of obligation to make sure our country returns to the wise guiding principles of our Founding Fathers (as enumerated in the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution), you know our country and our people need us now.
I know, sometimes it seems overwhelming, but I trust you are here because you would like to know what you can do. None of us can do it all, but each of us can do something to make sure all we need to do is done. Imagine if all those who are concerned about the direction we are headed would join with us to help encourage others, especially our military and law enforcement officers, to live by their oath and the honorable principles expresses in the U. S. Constitution.
If you came here to see what you might be able to do, this is the main job I am asking you to do. Each one of us can learn more about why the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence say what they do and why our oath is so important. If you will give us the opportunity, we can help with this. And as you realize how fortunate we are to live in a nation founded on such wise principles echoed by our Founders, to help us live honorable lives, I hope you will realize, it is now your turn to echo those sound principles, as we encourage all our officials to meet their responsibility to honor their oath.
We have created this problem. We have failed to hold our government officials accountable. We have failed to insist they act according to those wise principles voiced in the U. S. Constitution, the core of The Law of Our Land. Till now, too often, they have gotten away with it. They are getting away with it now: Because we let them. That "WE" includes you.
Now, many groups, but especially Oath Keepers, are here to say enough! A nation cannot remain free and honorable, if the people responsible for insuring it remains so refuse to do their job by doing whatever is necessary to keep it free and honorable. Don't blame politicians when we tell them we do not care if they treat us as their servants. We have allowed them to act this way, and, then, re-elect them to office. Why would they think they have done anything wrong?
Think of when you did something wrong as a child. If you were caught, but then allowed to continue that behavior, would you have stopped on your own?
We are rewarding those who are destroying what has made this nation and its people great. And, yes, we still have the power to do a lot to stop the fall. If you are ready to find out what you can do to help, I hope you'll check this site often for more information and join us at our meetups that we'll begin to schedule soon.
In the meantime, encourage all those we honor with the privilege of serving our people to honor the oath they took when we gave them this opportunity to serve.
Oh, by the way, if you wondered, what's with that western hat, remember we're in WESTERN New York!
