Discover Scuba Diving lesson - with a PADI certified Instructor

Let's meet for a "Discover Scuba" dive!!

This is an awesome opportunity to see if diving is for you. We meet in Irvine for a pool session first, where everyone can dive with full scuba gear on in a safe environment, before deciding if you want to take a class and head out into the ocean later on...
We pay $25 for the pool session - with an instructor and me there to help out and answer any questions you might have.
If anyone wants to take classes later to get "PADI Open Water" certified, the $25 already paid for this sessions will be deducted from the cost to get certified.

Full Open Water certification is $350, and includes rental gear for 4 dives with an instructor, classroom sessions, ALL books, exam and PADI fees (READ ADDITIONAL INFO BELOW).

But there are NO obligations attached to the first session.

This is only to try to dive with the gear on, see if you are comfortable under water, and decide if this is something you want to do later.

If you never have done Scuba Diving, this is the cheapest and safest way to try it, without having to pay for rental gear or sign up for other classes.

We will meet 12.45 for the pool session, and then go out for a late lunch. If any questions, email me!

Additional info:

Here is an answer to a question from a member from another group regarding pricing, for this meetup, and classes afterwards:

If anyone decides to get Open Water certified through Dive and Photo after the pool session, there will be some classroom sessions and ocean dives coming up. Before going diving in the Ocean, it is recommended to get your own personal gear that fits you perfectly - both for safety and for comfort. Personal gear is: Mask and snorkel, boots, gloves and fins - and if anyone wants to become a certified diver, they will need these personal items anyway. Dive and Photo give all students a fair deal on all "personal gear", and you can chose bundles from several price points.
Dive and Photo will give all students FREE RENTAL GEAR (Wetsuit, BCD, weights, regulator, dive computer, tanks w/air fills) during the whole course when students buy their personal gear through their store.
This IS a good deal, and the total cost for the course will be $350 (minus $25 already paid for this meetup) as I said, as long as you buy the personal gear you will need anyway at Dive and Photo.
PS: You can find Open Water classes advertised for A LOT LESS, but they don't include books, rental gear, exam fees, and more.... So $350 is a good deal.
I also know the instructor Dive and Photo will use for the pool sessions and classes later, and he is one of the best instructors out there.
