The park will celebrate its 16th annual ceremony its history
The Crystal Cove Alliance will celebrate the holiday season by hosting its 16th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Crystal Cove Historic District on Saturday, Dec. 1. The tree, decorated with vintage ornaments and lights, will reflect the district’s time period between 1935 and 1955. Holiday lights and vintage decorations will also illuminate the seaside cottages.
“We look forward to this tradition every year because it awakens the magical history and old-fashioned holiday spirit of Crystal Cove,” said Laura Davick, founder of the Crystal Cove Alliance. “We hope Orange County families will all bundle up and join our festivities and become a part of the most unique tree display in Southern California.”
The event will also feature the Holiday Bazaar that will also take place on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There, guests can purchase handmade holiday gifts, learn to make jewelry and ornaments, and enjoy hot beverages from The Beachcomber Café.
Santa Claus will make an appearance at 4 p.m. and will greet children until the tree lighting begins at sunset.
Located at Los Trancos parking lot on the east side of Pacific Coast Highway. State Parks will waive the $15 parking fee for the Saturday event only beginning at 3 p.m. Shuttle service is $1 each way.
