Science and Suds: Ask a molecular biologist who genetically engineers mosquitoes

So in the interest of bringing a little extra "Science" to the suds this time, I was thinking of doing a little reddit-style "I AM A molecular biologist helping to engineer mosquitoes to not transmit Dengue Fever or Malaria: ASK ME ANYTHING".

Also, since these mosquitoes are starting to show up in the news, I would like to have an opportunity to engage and address issues (both real and imagined) that people have with them.

Is this something that you folks would be interested in? Any suggestions on a bar that could provide a 'bar' atmosphere AND enough quiet that we could hear each other?

Lemme know what you think in the comments!

Not a pub, but the Marie Callander's in Fountain Valley, on Brookhurst, has a private room that can sit about 10 people.

The Shamrock is about the quietest place we've encountered.
