OC Fair - Free rides & entertainment for families of special needs kids & adults

This time is for families/caregivers with special needs kids & adults. Ride operators take special time & care for our kids. It's called, "Friends Of The Fair." This is awesome, special time and entertainment with other families of special needs. They have already given out over 7,000 free tickets and happens every year, 1st Weds. of Fair. Why have I never heard about this?? You are welcome to inform other parents of special needs kids about this.  The "Friends of the Fair" special event ends at 12 noon, but you are welcome to stay all day until the fair closes.

Dress code: Appropriate for weather & sun conditions. Bring sunscreen, hats, etc.

Driving directions: Enter off Fair Drive.

Parking: $10

If you do not have a ticket, I was told by Rich Rodgers to come to the entrance anyway for a ticket.  There should be very few of us, so should not be a problem.  But, call my cell if it is, so I can talk to Rich.

Wonderful. Many of the kids rids were open and we walked right on early in the day. Parking was free, fair was well organized, ride operators helpful and good to see so many people and groups have a good time.

If you look at the website it does mention a parking fee of $10. We usually go and I think that we pay for parking no matter when we go. Hope this helps. i think that we are going with her after school program which is Ability First. Would like to try and meet up since I have not made it to a meeting yet.

You are correct, I confirmed today that we must pay $10 for parking. Since you will not have tickets, Rich Rodgers said to come anyway, so mention his name.

I am so upset we are not able to attend this event. It sounds like so much fun. Unfortunately I have a little medical procedure but we will try to join you for the next event
