I feel that the startup is the best environment to test new ideas. A small and motivated team works much faster than an academic lab, and in some cases is better funded.
We are connecting bioinformatics and data visualization with biomedical diagnostics, R&D and drug discovery. We are designing a system that lets scientists and reagent providers visualize the procedure behind an experiment or diagnostic test for faster and more intuitive analysis and communication.
Like science, we have a hypothesis and now we're setting out to test it and prove ourselves right or wrong. The prototyping aspect has much in common with serendipity in scientific discovery; fast iterations on product focus us on the interesting narrative.
Im interested in fundraising for bioinformatics based startups. I have worked in molecular biology and bioinformatics fields for the last decade, and think that visualizing complex data sets is the future of biomedical research
